Hi Everyone,
This is my first email for all of you that have signed up.
 
Just wanted to let everyone know that there are a couple of new scroll saws out there that look pretty nice.
  • The Hawk G4 is new and has a nice feature that was added to make it one of my favorite scroll saws. The top arm now lifts up so you can feed the blade from the top and not the bottom. This makes it much easier to do fret work and saves lots of time creating your works of art. It has a 26" throat to cut some pretty large projects. You can even set the tilt of the blade to make a more aggressive cut or do very fine detail. RBI is know for its quality and has the saw on sale now for $1099.00.   • The Excalibur EX21 has a new feature that is a little different from its predecessors. On this saw instead of tilting the table you tilt the blade. This makes it easier to control your bevel cutting. Excalibur has an introductory price of $799 on this saw. You can see it at Excalibur's web site.

***TIP***
When trying to stain a project that has lots of inside cutouts, get a shallow pan that is large enough to hold your entire project. Pour some stain into the pan. Dip your project into it and then turn it over and dip the other side in it. Make sure you have a rag handy to pat it down to remove the excess stain. This will get in all those hard to stain cutouts.
